The Host and A Broken Arm

My kids gave me the best Mother's Day gift EVER(besides the talk in church on mothers that Z surprised me with, the earrings that J made in art class and the card and paper flower T made me).... 4 hours of undivided attention to finish reading "The Host". This is a new book from Stephenie Meyer, who writes the Twilight series. It was a bit slow to start..new characters....new world..lots of aliens to get used to...but my chapter 4...WHOA!! This is another must read in your free time novel.

I had lots of free time to read last night too. J was playing
at the neighbors house on their inflatable water slide and he fell off, hitting his arm on the concrete curbing. Yep..another trip to the ER. It was only a small fracture so we are hoping he will be able to swim at least a few weeks this summer. J is going to be Humpty Dumpty in the school play this week and was going to have a fake cast and crutches. Looks like he was a bit too into character...LOL. He is feeling better today. Poor thing.
