Annual Star Lighting Party

About 10 years ago, Kurtis got a brilliant idea to build a HUGE 5 foot tall star for Christmas and put in on a pole as high up as he could. To climb on top of the roof and put that thing up, it takes at least 3 brave men who dare to climb on the roof. When we were first married, we had a small one story house with a flat porch roof. No problem..no worries. Now we have a 2 story with a slanted slippery roof that makes me hysterical until he gets off of there. To add to the star. Kurtis started adding more and more lights. This year, there are over 5500 lights on the house!!! Christmas decorating is his thing....LOL.

When Todd, Josh and Andy would come over to help put the star up, we started having dinner and making a party out of the "Star Raising" event. Andy and Kristy came with the girls, Todd and NiKole came for a little while and the kids stayed to hang out with the cousins. This year Wendy brought over the girls she babysits (who happen to be E's friends...she was in heaven). I'm going to take some better photos when I have some free time.
